now... here is a little beauty from the sweetest wedding in Eugene OR...

be good folks.

  1. I get to be the first comment! That makes me feel special :)!

My beautiful moment this morning was an interaction I had with my son, Adam (6). We are in the midst of a MAJOR plumbing/house upheaval that has been fairly stressful (asbestos and mold removal, the whole 9 yards). I've asked him at different points how he was feeling about our house being like this and today he said, "I feel like my heart is broke about it." I comforted him as best as I could, and then was struck with an idea. I handed him our little cheapie digital camera and asked him to document the kitchen/dining room areas for me. He lit up and immediately started snapping pictures of every pipe, every nook and cranny. It was pure play therapy for him to take those pictures, and his demeanor afterwards was the lightest I've seen during this experience. Photographs themselves can be so powerful and beautiful - but I'd never before seen the PROCESS of taking photographs be so visibly positive and have such a powerful impact on someone! I will remember this morning for a long time, and I'm sure it will be something I encourage him to do in the future!

  2. P.S. I've already "liked" you on Facebook. :)

  3. Oh dear beautiful Jen! You are amazingly talented, warm and bright! I am so blessed to know you! I think of you often as I wonder around my new little town in the mountains. My beautiful moment was before bed last night. I can lie in bed and watch the moon rapidly emerge from behind the mountain behind my house. I have done that twice this week- and I am certain it will be just as magical everytime I get to see it! COngrats on your 100th post! And here's to 1000 more :-)

  4. Beautiful YOU! I love this!! You bring so much sunshine and magic to my lil world. My beautiful moment today was watching the birds fly in and out of the sprinklers in my back garden this morning. It was magical. I love late morning, the sun is perfect, the breeze, the day is still so new and full of possibility. I'm such a possibility girl. Cheers to 100 posts and to you LOVE!!!!!!

  5. Jen, Beautiful work and congratulations! My beautiful moment this morning was hearing the rain hitting the windowsill as I woke up.

  6. And by the way, I just "liked" you on Facebook. Have a beautiful day.

  7. Happy blogiversary! I love that photo of the rock hearts.

One beautiful moment from today was when I was running down at the park and the trees reached overhead while the cool winds blew and I felt like I was back in Muir Woods. It was gorgeous!

  8. My beautiful moment of the day was picking green beans in the garden. I nearly gave up hope on them but they proved me wrong and tasted so good fresh off the vine.
I love your work. I follow you everywhere. I have learned a lot from you. Keep showing us the beauties of the world.
